What the Ticket Covers - and What It Never Does
Read the inclusions before you book. Paros boat tours bundle generously in some areas and draw hard lines in others.
What is always included
Across the listings compared here, three things are universal. Snorkel equipment is on board, either from the crew or handed out as mask and fins at each stop. Drinks are included, from water and soft drinks up to local wine, cocktails and an open bar on the catamaran.
And every trip offers free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund, with reserve-now-pay-later on top. Entry to the swim spots is included in the fare. No listing charges a park or site entry fee.
What the food tiers look like
Lunch is included on the five full-day trips and no half-day. The cheapest full day serves a traditional Parian lunch with wine and fruit. The kaiki with BBQ fires up souvlaki, tzatziki, pita and salads.
The seafood kaiki plates a Mediterranean seafood menu with local white wine, and asks guests to flag allergens in advance. The wooden boat runs a rolling programme of light breakfast, marinated fish with ouzo, and a grilled lunch, plus three complimentary drinks each. The catamaran cook prepares the Greek lunch fresh on board with an unlimited drinks service.
Getting to the boat is not always covered
Hotel pickup is the inclusion people assume and then get caught out by. It is included on the Blue Lagoon half-day, the BBQ kaiki and the catamaran. It is not offered on the other six, which means you make your own way to Pounta, Naoussa Marina or the meeting point confirmed at booking.
The Naoussa Bay cruise deliberately has no pickup, because the point is that Naoussa guests walk to the marina. Pounta itself is easy, with free customer parking in front of the departure shop, and the strait to Antiparos is under a kilometre wide.
Despotiko and the Antiparos crossing, for the record
Several cruises stop at Despotiko, the uninhabited islet west of Antiparos where archaeologists are excavating an ancient sanctuary of Apollo. The stop is a swim or walk ashore, not a guided site tour, and the fare never covers museum-style entry. If you would rather visit Antiparos under your own steam, the shuttle ferry crosses from Pounta, the same port many of these boats leave from, and the practical details are laid out on antiparos.com.
Background on the sanctuary excavation itself is published by the Greek Ministry of Culture on its Despotiko archaeology page. Between the two you can decide whether a boat stop or an independent visit suits you better.
The exclusions that surprise people
No listing includes towels, and the sea gets salt in everything. No listing includes hotel pickup unless it is stated. Gratuities are never mentioned as included.
The sunset sail has no swim stops at all, so do not book it expecting a dip. And every itinerary is weather-permitted, meaning the captain can change the route for safety, so a named stop is a promise of intent rather than a guarantee.
- Included on every listing: snorkel gear, drinks, free 24-hour cancellation
- Included on full days only: lunch, and Despotiko on all five
- Included only where stated: hotel transfers
- Never included: towels, gratuities, guaranteed stops in rough weather
